Technology hates me

For the record, I was planning to do some serious posting on Saturday.  I had some down time while Kendall was napping (she napped awhile since she woke up at 4am - thanks dear).  I tried uploading pics from my phone and camera and the stinking external drive is full.  Like it is seriously full.  I had Kevin confirm and yes, it is full.  I guess 4 years of taking pics of the kiddos will fill up a hard drive.  In the process of determining this I was trying to save my phone pics elsewhere and I don't know what happened - but it wiped my phone.  Seriously?!?  After giving up (and managing to not throw my phone, shockingly) I decided to walk away slowly.  Kevin knows that technology and I don't get along.  I don't know why I am so inept in this area.  Maybe when I find the time to get a new drive I'll upload the pics and hopefully score another free afternoon.  I tried.  I really did.

Miles and a fun ride

So we went out to eat recently to celebrate Miles' 3rd birthday. First - how in the world has it been 3 years?? After dinner the kiddos asked for some quarters for the kid rides out front. They proceeded to have the time of their lives! I mean really. This was a well spent quarter! Kendall squealed and screamed. It was hilarious. Man I love these kids! Love spending time with my nephews! And check out Dylan's missing teeth. He pulled one at dinner. Ew.

July 4th

And she lives! I would love to go back and catch up on my blogging - who knows if that will happen.  We had a great weekend celebrating the 4th!  I got a few pics to share.  We went to the awesome Lake Highlands parade again.  We have gone each year and have the best time.  It is always hot, of course, but the kids get a kick out of it.  Kendall really thought it was fantastic.  We parked at one of our friend's house and walked over with 3 other families.  It ended up being fun.

These kids are so cute!  These are some school friends.
 The dads
 The moms
 Cute kids!
Luckily Kendall hitched a ride - she wanted to be carried, of course.
Miles and Dustin met up with us, as well!

We went swimming with the above crew after the parade and then we napped.  Then we went out to some of the Tooker's friends for a little barbecue.  We then spent the night at Allyson's and had a great time swimming on Sat at her new awesome pool!  Love a good weekend with family and friends!
