After leaving Tallahassee, we headed to Gulf Shores. Mom flew in and met us there. It was so much fun! I really did a poor job of capturing the trip in pics. I took one pic on my real camera, below. I had to pull everything else from our phones! Their condos are literally on the beach. So awesome. This is a pic from our condo. It was pretty overcast when I took this but it got pretty sunny and ended up being a blast playing on the beach.
Uncle Donald and Aunt Juli took us to this fun restaurant where they literally throw rolls at you. Will got quite a kick out of that. Daddy caught him several rolls. They also play funny tricks on you and the waitress was a hoot. It was a good time!
I believe this is the only pic I got of our gracious hosts.
Kevin and I tried to be cool and go out one night after the kids were in bed. We didn’t last long and were tired ourselves!
Playing on the beach with Will was so much fun! It was such needed family time. We cherished that time with him.
Of course we found the ice cream shoppe and Kevin ended up with Will’s once he was done – rough job!
Kendall is a handful these days! She’s just precious but this girl is not content sitting still! She wants to go! The girl is crawling at lighting speed and pulling up on everything. She ended up with a pretty good bruise from falling into a plant vase thing. She lets go for some reason – I think she thinks she can walk but she’s not there, yet. She did get her 2nd tooth while on the trip, though!
I think I took some pics on my ipad and I’ll have to figure out how to upload those.
Mimi was so nice to watch Kendall several times for us. We took Will out to one of those fun places with putt putt and go carts.
We rode the bumper boats.
We tried out putt putt for the first time
And we did a few arcade games. It was so nice to just play and play with him. The last 2 months had been so busy we felt like we really needed it!
We also went on a dolphin boat ride. We didn’t get to see as many dolphins as we had hoped, but we did get to see a few. Will enjoyed the boat ride, anyways!
It was pretty windy, so I got to enjoy some snuggles! We are so thankful for this vacation! We agreed we needed to do it every year. It isn’t exactly relaxing with the kiddos, but it was wonderful!!
