The Kendall Update

Well, it seems I have done a poor job of blogging lately and posting updates about Kendall.  She is 3 1/2 months old!  Holy moly time is flying.  She is still the sweetest, easiest baby ever. This girl smiles all of the time.  She rarely gets very fussy (mostly when tired, which I can appreciate). She sleeps pretty good.  Though, Will was definitely a better sleeper, but she isn’t bad. She is just a very happy girl.  She’s going to school now and it is going really well.  She is doing really well there.  She is napping better and seems to be very sweet for her teacher. Will continues to love her and be very proud of her. She’s just an absolute joy and fits so perfectly into our family. Dressing her is so much fun!  I could buy and buy and buy clothes for her.  Unfortunately the budget doesn’t allow for that. Here are some recent pictures of our precious little girl!2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 009 Sibling tummy time!  And she is rolling both ways now.  Tummy to back and back to tummy.  Slow down sister!2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 041

Western Day

Recently at Will’s school they had western day. He was very excited about this and he told me he needed a cowboy hat and boots.  So – we did the best we could!  We borrowed Dylan’s boots that he has outgrown, borrowed this cute vest that my mom had actually made for my brothers when they were little toots, and borrowed this funny straw hat from Mimi’s play room.  And – here is our little cowboy!  I tried to snap a few pics before school and this is the best I got. He wasn’t wearing much of this when I picked him up, so I am not sure how long it lasted. But it was fun for a bit!2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 035 2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 036 2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 037

Grandparent’s Day

A few weeks ago was Grandparent’s Day at Will’s school.  It is really a fun day for the kids to have their grandparent’s come up to the school and show off a little performance.  I love this day.  I think it is such a good time to stop and realize how lucky Will and Kendall are.  They have some amazing grandparents.  These 4 love my kids so much and I am so thrilled that they are spoiled the way they are.  They were all able to make it for the event and Will was thrilled.2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 050You might recall last year was Will’s first performance.  He cried…the whole way through.  He saw Kevin and Jeff and cried their names the entire performance.  Fast forward a year and my how things have changed!  This kid (who is a little hard to see but is smack in the middle of the first row) did amazingly well!  He sang and did the motions and even danced when it was time.  I am such a dork and got all teary eyed because it just showed how far we’ve come in a year.  I am proud of him and love seeing him mature.  He is such a good kid (most of the time) and it was neat to see him in a good mood enjoying the moment. 2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 055 2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 057 After they were able to come and see Will’s class.  Mimi had gone to have lunch with Dylan but Neille, Ally, and G.J. came by and Will ate that up.  He was very proud to have them there and show off his seat, etc.2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 059 Thank you Will’s grandparents for loving him so well!!2012-09-15 001 2012-09-15 061

Scary Dino!

Does this guy look scary to you! Well he thinks he is! I am so amused by this year's costume pick. Out of the blue Will declared at dinner last week that he wanted to be a T Rex dinosaur. Not the other kinds he informed me - a T Rex. It seemed so random so I didn't think much if it. Then Sunday I decided to get serious as he has a costume party to attend this Sat. Again I asked him and he said, Mommy I told you, I want to be a T Rex! Like I was so silly for forgetting. So okay - a T Rex it is! Apparently they have talked about dinosaurs at school and one of his friends is also going to be one, but a different kind.

I picked up the costume Tues on my day off. He was pumped when I picked him up from school. He couldn't wait to put it on! We got him all dressed and Kendall got kind of fussy. Will says (and I quote) Don't worry Kendall, I am not a real dinosaur, I am just dressed up like one! Ha! He thinks he looks pretty scary in this outfit. I am so amused that he came up with this all on his own and he thinks he's a legit Dino! He is getting quite the imagination and so, so funny! It is fun to watch what comes next from this kid!!

DIY Success

If you know me, you know I am not crafty. I am a CPA for a reason. But deep down I want to be crafty. I see cute stuff other people do and I think - wish I could do that! This time I actually did something crafty and it actually turned out cute! I can take no credit for the idea - I straight up stole it from Tricia. She made the cutest bulletin board for her play room and I immediately knew I wanted to try it. I haven't finished decorating Kendall's room and this would be perfect! Luckily I found this old (ugly) picture in our attic. It was actually my Mom's and I asked to have it. She said sure. So I spray painted the frame pink, cut cork board to size, stapled cute fabric on it and that was it! Here is the before and after! Now I am wondering what I can try next!
