Thankful

I am sure it is pretty evident what we are thankful for in this household this year. Not only do we have the cutest little boy in the world, he is perfectly healthy. I can't tell you how appreciative I am to look at him and see that he is thriving. He is growing and he is changing everyday. And, he seems to be a happy baby. He is so easy going most of the time. He smiles more and more each day and he "talks" to us quite a bit! He loves to play and coo and it makes us melt. He is just the sweetest! I am so thankful to have a happy, healthy, easy baby! This face is so sweet and I just can't even imagine life without him!
I think these overalls are super cute. Disclaimer - Kevin does not like overalls and hates that I put him in them. Oh, well. Mommy thinks you're precious in them Will!
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! On Wednesday evening, we went out to Ally's house in Forney and spent the night for the first time. Will did great. He actually didn't make a peep until 7am! I was so worried he would keep the house up, but he slept like a champ. (Actually, he has been sleeping through the night quite a bit lately...another praise!) On Thursday, my mom and uncle also came out to Ally's house and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner together. Thanks for all the yummy food Ally! Here is Will in his adorable Thanksgiving outfit.
Aunt Kayse was home for Thanksgiving and she surprised Will with some matching pj's! Aren't they cute in their pjs?
Look at these cute cheeks! I can't believe he is 10 1/2 weeks old!
Will still seems to really hate tummy time. We make him do it everyday and you would think he would get used to it, but he doesn't. But the more frustrated he gets, the higher he lifts his neck. Sorry Will - I promise it is good for you!
On Friday morning, mom and I went shopping for some bargains. We got some great deals - it was a huge success! We didn't go when stores opened, which was key. We missed the mad dash and still found most of what we were looking for. I am not a patient shopper usually so it is nice to go with my mom who is a pro at finding amazing deals.
We feel so blessed in the Tooker house. We have wonderful friends and family that are so supportive of us. We got to spend some time with some of them at the Stars game Sat. night. It was great to catch up and spend some time relaxing together. Life is so good and it is is nice to stop and think about all the blessings we've been given.

Slowly but Surely

Slowly but surely we are finishing the nursery! I had the blank wall that drove me crazy. Once Will came it became much less of a concern! Things settled down and I decided to look again for the perfect something to fill this space. I knew kind of what I wanted but didn't know where to find it. I found this amazing website www.etsy.com and ta da! Exactly what I wanted. Etsy is a website where people sell all of their hand-made items. I was looking for a pretty big sized wooden frame that could be painted with Will's birth stats. After a long search and some help from another etsy seller, I found a lady to do just what I wanted. I think it looks great! A closer view.
Of course a blog wouldn't be complete without some cute pics of Will!
With a few friends...
Well Ally has the week off and she is going to spend the afternoon with Will. So...I'm headed out...alone! :)
Happy Thanksgiving ya'll!

2 Month Stats

We had his 2 month check-up today. He is in perfect health! He screamed the whole time the doctor was checking him, and then again when he got the shots. Poor guy. That sad little look on his face was heart breaking! It was a delayed response. First the eyes got huge and then he realized it hurt! He is crashed out at the moment.

Weight: 11lbs 5 oz
Height: 23 7/8 inches
Head size: 39.7

On each category he is in the 50th percentile. Our kid is average! (Only on the stats...he is way above average in personality!!).

So yesterday morning when I unswaddled him, both of his little feet were sticking out of his pj's. Somehow he pushed them inbetween the snaps. This morning one of them was out and decided it was picture worthy. How and why did he do that?

2 Months Old

Today Will is 2 months old! We take him for his 2 month check-up tomorrow, so I will post his official stats tomorrow. I dread the appointment since he'll be getting his shots. :(

Will is such a cutie and is so much fun these days. He smiles all the time and I love it! Nothing is better than going to his crib in the morning and seeing him give me a huge smile. Wow. That is absolutely the best feeling.

He has been sleeping pretty well. He slept all through the night (until 7 am) two nights in a row last week. That was amazing. Since then he has been waking up at least once around 3:30 - 4am. He isn't really crying but more making really loud grunting/moaning sounds. I have been just putting the pacifier in and he goes right back to sleep. So...he hasn't gotten a middle of the night bottle in over a week. It is pretty easy to just hop up and put the paci in compared to fixing a bottle and giving it to him, so I am not complaining. I'd say he's doing great! I am getting so much more sleep - thank you sweet Will!

We took him with us to church for the first time on Sunday. He stayed with us in the service and did great. As soon as the music started he went right to sleep. At the very end he started getting squirmy and making noises so we went to the cry room. It felt good to go church as a family. Maybe someday I'll be brave enough to leave him in the nursery! Here he is in his church duds. :)

He looked so cute we needed pics with the handsome man.
I laughed so hard after I took this picture. Look how skinny his little legs are! Ha!
He's always so cute after a bath wrapped up in a towel.
All snug in his pj's! I pulled an emotional mom move. I have had such a hard time with the idea of moving past the newborn clothes. I was putting him in those newborn pj's and they were really just way too small. It was mental, I guess, because I just couldn't wash the 3 month clothes. Well I washed all of the bigger clothes last week and put him in the bigger pj's. AND...they fit so much better! The poor kid. They fit really well and really there isn't that much growing room. I should have switched them sooner. Oh well.
He's really holding his head up these days. He is such an active boy. He loves to get his arms and legs going at the same time. He's not a huge eater. We're trying to up what he gets during the day since he doesn't eat at night now. But he just isn't a huge eater. I do think he has seriously grown a foot in the last few weeks. Ok, so that is exaggerated, but he really has gotten so much longer. You can see he hasn't gotten much chubbier, though. He really can't fit into the newborn stuff - especially the onesies anymore. It isn't such a bad thing because he has a bunch of really cute 3 month clothes.

Unfortunately it has been pretty chilly yesterday and today. That is a bummer because it is messing up our walks. I have to do my indoor Jillian workout instead. Walking is more fun that having Jillian kick my rear! :)

Hope you are having a wonderful day!

Sleep, Bumbo, & Other Fun Stuff

Well, first off all - we are in a great mood in this house today! Will slept all night long! Whoo hoo! We put him to bed right around 10pm (he had already been napping for awhile when we snuk in his last bottle) and he slept until 7:10! I woke up at 6:45 when Kevin woke up in a panic because his alarm didn't go off. I was in a panic because Will hadn't woken up. I went in and he was fine. Just snoozing like a champ! He had slept for almost 8 hrs Sun. night and I was excited but Mon night he only slept 6 hrs. I wasn't sure if Sun was a fluke. We are at least making serious progress! Mommy is so proud, Will!

I pulled out the bumbo yesterday just for fun. He has been holding up his head really well, so I thought I'd try it out! Here he is looking adorable in his bumbo and in another one of Dylan's outfits.

Here is the cutie right after a bath. So sweet in his pj's.

Daddy and Will really enjoy their bath time. It is man time. Daddy is so good to give him a bath and put him to bed every night! Caught a sweet smile!
So after awhile on the bumbo he ends up like this. We're not totally ready for a lot of time in the bumbo, but it is fun for a bit. :)
How handsome is this little guy?

Finally!! I captured a huge smile!!

So Will and I have been having a lot of fun here lately! We usually get a good walk to the park in. He really seems to enjoy the ride. Lately he's really been alert while we are out and about.

On Monday, Will and I made a trip to Mansfield to visit my friend, Emily. Emily and I were good friends in high school and sort of lost touch over the last several years. Thanks to the greatness of Facebook, we reconnected. She has 2 precious little girls and we had a great time visiting and catching up. Her older daughter Addison was napping when we snapped this pic. Here is Emily with Aubrey. Addison is 2 and Aubrey is 7 mos. Thanks for having us over and fixing us lunch Emily! I hope we do it again soon!!
I got a cute video of Will hanging out in the bumbo watching his mobile. He flashes some cute smiles for us here.

Happy Veteran's Day! Thank you to all who served our amazing country!!

This is how we roll...

Ok, so we don't generally "roll" like this...but on Sat night we pretended we did. :) Kevin scored floor seats for the Mavs game. We've sat on the floor before (yes, because we are just that cool) but this was on the first row! We were in the very corner, but we were right there. It was so neat! At one point Dirk was flailing on the ground right infront of us.

We also had the VIP passes and got to enjoy a great buffet before the game. Here is us enjoying our night out in luxury...
Let's go Mavs! They won...big! I like the Jet! (a.k.a. Jason Terry).
Who doesn't love Dirk? Hi Dirk! He was very tan. Must have had a good summer in the sun somewhere!
Here's the huge new screen. Oh look...my favorite...the drumline! :) Yes, I guess I'm still a band nerd at heart.
Thanks to Kevin's awesome job for the great tickets! We had so much fun!

Professional Pics

So here are just a few of my favorite pics from the ones we had taken when Will was 2 weeks old. Wow how time flies!

I am in search of a photographer - can anyone recommend a reasonably priced one? At least for the first year I'd like to do them at 3, 6, 9 months, etc. I am about to start looking, but would love a recommendation in the Dallas area! This photographer was great, but he only does newborns.

Have I mentioned how much I love his little feet? I just can't get enough of them! I don't know what it is, but I just love them!

Last Weekend

Well, I am a little behind on my posting from the weekend. We had a wonderful fun-filled one at that!! On Friday night, Ally was sweet enough to babysit Will for us while we went out on our first date post-baby! It was so nice! We didn't have tons of time, so we went to the Studio Movie Grill and saw Couples Retreat. It was pretty funny and we had a wonderful time.

We took these pics on Sunday before we headed over to our sweet friends Peter & Alicia's house for a wonderful dinner. Look how lucky I am to have these two handsome men in my life!

Love when I catch his grin! Somehow the huge smile is so hard to catch on camera! I'll keep trying!
On Saturday night, Halloween, we went over to Dustin & Tricia's house. Dylan was all set for his first time trick or treating! Kevin & I stayed at their house while they went out and we handed out candy. There were a ton of kids and we ran out of candy! Dylan was the cutest cowboy I have ever seen! Will was a pea in the pod and didn't seem too interested in the event. Can you tell?? Sweet, sweet cousins...
He barely fit into this outfit. It was cute, and he was sound asleep!
Seriously, how cute is this cowboy??
We borrowed this little jacket from Dylan. He always looks so snug in his carseat.
I love this face!
We are loving this amazing weather!! I think Will and I are going to go for an afternoon walk. We've been going with Kevin when he gets home, but it now gets dark so early. Oh, well. I love fall so much!
