Arboretum Play Date

This past Friday, we joined Paula and Bryce for a fun play date at the Arboretum!  It was a lot of fun!  The boys always have a great time together.  They had so much fun that they both crashed hard that afternoon for extra long naps!Mothers Day 2012-05-13 109 Boys and water – just too hard to resist.Mothers Day 2012-05-13 111
There is an amazing exhibit there right now.  They have these awesome glass statutes all throughout the park.  Made it even more interesting to walk around.

Mother’s Day

Mothers Day 2012-05-13 011 On Sunday, we celebrated Mother’s Day with Kevin’s family out at a park in Rockwall.  It was really nice and lovely and we didn’t have to fight crowds at a restaurant!  Celebrating mother’s day is special for so many reasons.  It is great to stop and celebrate our own mothers/grandmothers.  We have truly been blessed in that area.  It is also nice to stop and really think about what a blessing it is to be able to be a mother myself.  I know it is not a given and it is a true blessing.  I am so thankful to be a mommy to Will and can’t wait to be one to Kendall.Mothers Day 2012-05-13 066Will ended up with quite a doozy of an “owie” on his head.  He was running like he always does and ended up head first on some concrete.  Ouch. Luckily these ducks were close by and a good distraction from the fall!  He really enjoyed feeding these little guys.Mothers Day 2012-05-13 079 Mothers Day 2012-05-13 088
On Monday night, Will and I took my mom to dinner (but no pics).  We are so thankful for our amazing moms!!  Thanks for loving us and our little boy.  We appreciate all you do for us and the time we spend with you.  We hope you feel loved and appreciated!

Sweet Cousins

Kevin’s other sister Kellie and her husband Nick came to celebrate the graduation, as well.  That meant Will and I FINALLY got to meet sweet baby Jackson in person!!  We had been left out!  We really enjoyed getting to see him and spend some time with him.  He’s a sweet, precious boy and Will loved him instantly!  We hope to spend a lot more time with this cute kiddo!Kayse's Graduation 2012-05-11 096 Kayse's Graduation 2012-05-11 100

Congrats Kayse!

Last weekend Kevin’s little sister, Kayse, graduated from OU!  We are so very proud of her!  I even sucked it up and was a good sport about attending an OU event.  :)  We were very excited to celebrate this big milestone with all of Kevin’s family.  Kayse we wish you the best in all your future endeavors!  We are so proud of you for how far you’ve come and can’t wait to see what the future holds!  I got a few pics (of course).  Kayse is the one standing infront of the green backdrop getting her official pic taken right before she gets her diploma.Kayse's Graduation 2012-05-11 028 Below I caught her on the big screen!  I had a pic of me on the big screen at Tech and thought I would see if I could catch her, too.Kayse's Graduation 2012-05-11 029 The graduate and her family!!  Way to go Kayse!!Kayse's Graduation 2012-05-11 078 Kayse's Graduation 2012-05-11 041

Sleeping prince

Caught this sweet moment tonight. Things to note: sweaty head (every night). One hand on the blankie tag (also a regular sight, holding must sooth him). And he's been asleep for over an hour and he is still holding onto the bug catcher toy that came in his kids meal - ha! Love this boy so much! Makes me want to crawl in with him!

Great Grandparents!

Will's great grandparents are here from Florida for Kayse's graduation! Will hasn't seen them in a year but bonded with them again in no time! Love these sweet pics of him with them last night. Sweet memories!

Preggo Update

It is hard to believe but I am already 30 weeks pregnant!  Wow.  It has gone quick - but I am ready for it to be done!  I am officially starting to get uncomfortable and having trouble sleeping.  The back is hurting, etc.  You know - all the normal 3rd trimester fun stuff.  Everything seems to be progressing well.  I measure right on target and my blood work was all good.  The hardest part is the exhaustion.  I am tired.  The good part is that so far (knock on wood) I have not really swelled much.  By this point with Will I was swelling quite a lot.  I am still wearing my rings and shoes right now!  I try hard to keep my feet up when I can.  I am praying I don't hit that massive swelling like I did last time.  I do have the chubby face/neck like I did last time.  I guess that's just part of it.  Hopefully it goes away like it did last time!  She is moving a ton and I am so curious as to what she will be like.  Will was such a good baby - will she be one, too?  What will Will think of her?  We are really playing up the big brother role and him being a big helper.  He acts excited now but when we mentioned that I will be Kendall's mommy, too, - he doesn't seem to like that much.  Her room is really coming along.  It is very girlie!  We have gotten a lot of little girl clothes - so no doubt she'll be well dressed!  We just need a few things before she arrives.  And we need to clean out a few closets.  Right now I can't put her cute clothes in her closet - that was the spare closest and our place to stick stuff that we didn't know what to do with.  Ha!  Better get moving on that!  Mostly, we just anxiously await her arrival.  10 weeks or less (hopefully less) to go!!

Fun Friends

It has been fun to see Will make friends at such a young age.  Here are a few random pics of him with some friends.  A few months back Will took his friends Jack & Bryce to the hockey game.  They had a fun time and were so good!  They all loved it!Oct 2011 - April 2012 239 Will has been spoiled by getting to use the suite.  We’ll definitely have to take him to some nose bleed seats at some point so he sees the games like we all did growing up!Oct 2011 - April 2012 240 Some of Will’s school friends have met at a park a few times.  They run and play and have the best time.  I love this one of Will & Jack – they are so funny together!Oct 2011 - April 2012 317 Here was the gang that went the last time.  I hope he continues to make good friends!!Oct 2011 - April 2012 326

1st Rangers Game

This past Friday night, we took Will to his first Rangers game!  He loves sports just like his daddy and daddy has always dreamed of taking his son to a game.  So – we thought we’d give it a shot before it got any hotter and I got any bigger!  Will was crazy excited!  We talked about it for a week and when Friday came – he was pumped!  We got him a new shirt and a new hat for the big game!006 We got there early to walk around and see the improvements to the park and eat our hotdogs, of course.  He was loving it!008
It was hot out in the sun, but luckily in our seats we had shade and a breeze, so it wasn’t bad for this preggo.  Man – I am pregnant, for sure!IMG_0533 Will did really well for his first game – and especially being 2 1/2.  We weren’t sure what to expect.  He was a little ancy at first.  I think the fact that the Rangers were not on their A game and weren’t playing well didn’t help.  But he settled in and stayed put for quite awhile.  We even got to see 2 home runs – so yay fireworks!  He loved that!  And he loved that they sang Take me out to the Ballgame.  That is one of his personal favorites!  We must sing it every night before bed, so he got a big kick out of that.IMG_0540
The view from our seats in the upper deck.  It was a little nerve racking when he would want to walk down the stairs, but he did great.012
This kid NEVER falls asleep in the car.  But he was worn out!  It was a very successful first game!  I see lots more of these in his and daddy’s futures!!015
I can’t believe I almost forgot!  I had to go back and add this!  Will and Kevin made the news with Dale Hanson that night!  It was really quick (like 2 seconds) but they were on tv!  This camera guy stopped them and thought Will was cute.  He asked if Dale could ask them a question.  Kevin looked like he didn’t want to do it, but I was like yes!  Dale did a little bit that related to a recent news story where a couple caught a ball from the stands and a kid was crying near them.  The couple didn’t give the kid the ball (didn’t know he was crying) and it made news.  So Dale asks Kevin is he wants a ball for his son and starts to hand it to him.  Kevin says sure – and then Dale goes, no, sorry – you can’t have it and walks off!  Ha!  That was it!  But it was memorable for Will’s first Rangers game experience!  They are famous!  (In a mommy’s eyes anyway!).

Swim Class

Will started swim classes!  We’ve been saying we need to do it forever and we finally got him signed up.  He goes every Saturday morning (we’ve been twice so far).  We weren’t sure how he would do but his good friend from school Jack is also in the class – so he has done so well!  He is so brave!  He is the first to volunteer to do whatever they are doing.  We are so proud!  It is a slow process as they are just getting more comfortable with the water and learning to put their faces in, etc.  But I am so glad we are doing it.  I know it is so important that he learns.  Here are a few pics.  He’s the skinny guy on the right below:IMG_0517 IMG_0523
