Happy Boy!
Here is a fun video. Will was in performance mode the other day for my mom and her cousin Marsha.
Here daddy was making him laugh, of course. Such a happy boy!
I tried loading another one, but my computer wasn't cooperating.
Big Boy Standing
This is Will’s most favorite thing to do right now. He loves to stand! He will pull up on anything he can. He will not sit still. Literally in the last 2 weeks he has turned into a whole new kid. Gone is the little boy content to sit and play for long periods of time. He wants to be on the go. And though he still hasn’t mastered crawling, that really doesn't stop him from getting around. He’ll scoot backwards, roll, etc.
And he loves to stand in the crib. That is making naptime/bedtime so much more of a challenge! He has always been so easy to put down. Now that he’s got a new trick – the fun has begun. We lowered the crib down one more notch than what you see here. It is officially on the lowest setting – sad! :(
P.S. If you wonder why I generally slick his hair down - it is because it looks like that if I don't!

9 months!
Well last week Will turned 9 months old. Another month has gone by! As always, it seems impossible.
Yesterday I took him in for his check-up and all was well. Doctor says he is one healthy little boy. He gave us the go ahead to eat pretty much anything food wise. So, let the adventure of eating real food begin! We made our 12 month appointment while we were there. That was a little weird. I’m not ready for him to be a year old.
He has been so active lately. I feel like the crawling is close. He is just not content sitting and playing anymore. He wants to go…he just can’t quite yet.
On Monday we experienced a couple of milestones, though. At the doctor I realized he had cut another tooth! The corner of his top left outside tooth started to show. Yes, that’s right. My child cuts the outside tooth first! If the others don’t come in quickly, he’s going to look like he has fangs (as the the doctor put it). It could get interesting! :)
He took a nap after the doctor visit and while I heard him wake up I didn’t hurry in to get him. I did hear him whining a bit but I still didn’t rush in. Then I heard him laughing. Uh oh. That sounded familiar. I hurry in and he was standing at the crib! Since I have yet to see him go from a laying to sitting/standing position, I was definitely surprised! He did it again last night when he woke up crying around 9:30 (I think his tooth was bothering him). I went in expecting him to be laying down and he almost startled me when I saw him sitting with his arms out. He learns something new every single day.
The stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 9 oz (25%)
Height: 28.25 inches (45%)
Head: 44.5 (30%)
I can’t wait to see what he learns next! He is quite the busy one these days. He is still just as sweet as ever and we are loving being his parents. He makes everyday brighter!

This and That
You would think that I would do a better job of blogging since I am only working 3 days a week right now. But, I’m not. The days go by quick and I just don’t seem to make blogging a priority.
So – that means this blog is going to be full of fun random pictures that honestly are in no particular order. They span over the last month or so and were too cute not to share.
Will was just too cute in his flip flops and hat. As you can see, he really just wanted the flip flops off. Cute while it lasted! Our church had a baptism at a local park and it was a lot of fun! I got a good pic of the boys together.
We were at the store one day and I just thought he looked really cute. :) Though we haven’t made it every week, we have made it to several play group events over the last month. It has been really neat to see how much each of the babies had grown! They are all precious and we are thankful they allow us to join them even though we can’t be regulars.
My sweet friend Lori had her baby Samantha (going by Sam) last Wednesday! Welcome to the world Sam! We are so happy to have met you! And your mommy looks beautiful for just having a baby!!
Will now wants to eat whatever we are eating. He is just too cute to resist! Papa you’ll be glad to know he seems love ice cream! We just let him have a little and he wanted more and more!
I’m rarely in a pic with the cutie so I made Kevin take a picture. Mommy loves you so much Will!
A fun ride on the swiiiiiiiing!
Again, sometimes he is just too cute not to take a pic of. Sweet cheeks!
Here is a pic of my two favorite boys! What good looking men I have in my life! Dylan and Will were so cute in their Ranger attire but oh so hard to get a pic of together. Go Rangers!
Can we say Bed Head?!? Oh the sweetness of a baby after a bath!
Yesterday, the church I grew up going to in Cleburne had reunion with the lovely pastor that was there in the late 80’s. Friendship Baptist Church was such a special place for me and Rodney and Sasha Woo were such great ministers. I will always fondly remember that little church in the country that only about a hundred people went to it. We went there the whole time I was in youth group and I spent a lot of time there. Here is a pic of people that were in the youth group back in the day. That was a long, long time ago – wow.
Last night I got a date night with my wonderful husband and we went to dinner and then saw the musical Wicked! It was so so so so good. It was the 2nd time I had seen it and it was better the 2nd time because by now I have the sound track memorized and knew a little more of the story. Yay for a fun day all around!!!
