He looks like such a big boy! We are glad we finally went back. Three months makes a big difference! We’re really working on getting those pearly whites clean and that breath fresh! It is getting harder. He has to do it himself and I have to be very sneaky (and use a different tool) to get the job done. He’s cute though at how much he loves the process! And LIndsey’s stool works perfectly!
So he is FINALLY letting us actually read to him. He has a few favorites that he insists on us reading over and over and over. It is nice though that he’ll actually sit long enough and stay on a page long enough to hear the story. Our little boy is growing up! Thanks Mimi for both folding laundry and reading to the little guy!
We put Will to work mowing the yard! He did a great job, by the way. Ally brought him a fun outside toy when she picked him up from school the other day. Thanks Ally!
Is he trying to tell us something? Want a ride in that thing mister?
Well, pictures posted as promised! Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
I know – lame title! But seriously – look at this snow. The weather man said we might get an inch – ha! Try a whole bunch of inches! It was crazy. This is what we woke up to Friday morning. Make that a 4th day of no work!
Here is looking straight across from our house. Here is looking to the street that runs beside our house – where’s the street?? Crazy!
I finally took Will out into the snow this year! Last year everyone had cute pics of their kids in the snow and I never made it out. Sadly, I did not have appropriate snow gear. We improvised. Yes, those are socks on Will’s hands. Yes, that is Kevin’s t-boggin. But look – he has rain boots! We got them as a shower gift way back and they just happened to be size 5 – the size he currently wears! How perfect is that? The boots were heavier than he’s used to wearing, so he didn’t move very quickly. At first, he just stood there. What’s that white stuff?
Look at those big snow flakes. It was so bright – it was hard to keep my eyes open for the picture!
Uncle J was working from home so he got out for a bit, too.
Whoops! He face planted into the snow! Poor guy. Mean mommy taking pics of her little boy like that. It is a funny memory, though, Will!
Hmm, maybe I’ll see what snow takes like…
For the record, he was layered up under his hoodie. He had his pj’s on and a long sleeved waffle shirt and jeans on over them. Then the hoodie. And the sock gloves! Nice ensemble Will!
Fun times in the snow – but I’m over it! I was actually glad to wake up and go to work today! Friday night we had to get out of the house so we ventured out to dinner. I just had to get out!!!!
P.S. – Found out tonight that I’m getting another NEPHEW!! Tricia and Dustin are having another boy! Will is so excited he can barely stand it! Congrats McCoy’s!!!!!!
So, if you aren’t aware, we are working on our 3rd ice day (no school, etc.) here in Dallas this week. THIRD! Wow. So at first it was a welcome break. No work/school and you don’t have to feel guilty about it. But then, by the third day – you start to go a little stir crazy. Kevin has been braving the ice/cold and has gone to work everyday this week. Will and I haven’t stepped outside this house since Monday! Monday! It is Thursday.
I’m not really complaining – I have enjoyed spending this time with Will. It is a blessing really. Things at work are about to get really busy and I won’t have days off until April. So this is a nice way to start the busy season – with a break! :)
I was doing laundry on Sunday – guess I forgot some! Will has been playing with his toys a lot. I think it is funny that he stacked up those gears like he did.
He’s also gotten to watch a lot more tv than he normally does. He’s gotten really good at the pat, pat, pat….Blastoff!! If you watch kids shows, you know what I mean. Clearly he feels the need to be in control with both remotes!
The McCoy’s were getting stir crazy, too, so they came over last night and we played wii and ate fried pickles. Oh yes – I bought the dance game and everyone had to get in on it. Aren’t they cute?
Love how serious Dust and I are here. Dylan was into it and Will was, too!
Random, but does anyone else’s child do this…a lot? He knows stuff like milk, cheese, and yogurt come out of the fridge and he goes there frequently hanging on the handles begging me to get him something. I think he could eat yogurt all day long.
He really likes sitting like a big boy in the normal chairs. He’s been begging to be put in them lately. Cutie.
That’s about all I’ve got. Kind of really need to go to work tomorrow – so I’m hoping things clear up some. Can’t avoid the real world forever. It has been fun while its lasted! I feel like there are so many things around the house I could have/should have done while I’ve been home. Surely there are some closets or something that need cleaning out. But…nah.
P.S. - funny that my last post was about the unseasonably warm weather last weekend. Ha!
