Wow – how in the world has Kendall already turned a month old?? I don’t know – but it happened – today! I haven’t done a very good job of updating on her, so I will try to do so here. I am also posting a bunch of random pics in no particular order over the last month.
This little girl is one amazing baby. She is easy. I hope I don’t jinx myself! Will was not a hard baby at all and she is proving to be even easier. She sleeps! Hallelujah she sleeps! I tell you sleep makes everything better! :) I thought Will was a great sleeper and she is blowing him out of the water. She’s like her mommy – girl can sleep! Thank you Kendall! She also doesn’t cry much unless she’s hungry. She doesn’t mind having her diaper changed at all. She just lays there very contently and quietly. She does grunt a good bit – but I can handle some grunting.
I am cherishing every moment with her these days. I am off until October, so I am trying to soak it in. I have had WAY less anxiety than I did with Will. I guess it is just easier the 2nd time around because you know what to expect, you know it is all just a phase, and you are already a mother. While I enjoyed Will as a baby immensely, I did have a little bit of an identity crisis. It was hard going from working in a career to being pumped that I got a shower for the day. It took me awhile to feel like me again. This time around I feel really good. I am really thankful for that.
I’ve mentioned that Will loves her so much. She’s pretty much got everyone wrapped around her finger already. She is quite the blessing.
My beautiful girl is suffering from a horrendous case of baby acne. Will had it but it wasn’t nearly this bad. Her poor cheeks are so red and bumpy. I am praying this goes away quick. I miss her soft cheeks!
She seems to be gaining a good bit of weight. I wish I knew how much. I have started putting her into some of her 0-3 month clothes. They are a little big on her, but a lot of it is summery and I want to make sure she is able to wear it all. She is long, so her newborn pj’s are not going to last much longer. I bet I could put her in the 3 month ones and they would fit fine. I can’t tell yet if she is going to get chubby or always be a thin baby like Will. I would love a chubby baby!
Just realized that most of these pics are of her sleeping. Well what else do newborns do? :) She is awake a good bit more these days. I’ll make a mental note to take some while she’s awake!
Yes, sometimes we hang out on the bathroom floor while mommy is getting ready. Whatever works, right? How insanely tall does Will look? My baby is growing up! He’s getting so big!
Little miss is sleeping in her crib now. She’s doing so well. She’s finally taking a paci! For the first 3 weeks, she wouldn’t take one. I never thought I would want a baby to have one, but it is helpful – especially when she wakes up not long after she’s gone to sleep. Yay paci! We are just loving the little addition to our family! Snuggling and loving on this little girl is most of what I spend my day doing and I love it!
