3 Month Pics

Yes, I have so much blogging to do to catch up on all of the fun activities that we have done over the last week with our families, but I don't have the energy to upload all the pics and properly document all the fun. I've this annoying cold/crud thing for going on about 10 days now. Yuck. So, I thought I'd leave you all with some adorable pictures of our favorite little guy. We had his 3 month pics taken a few weeks ago and used them as Christmas presents, so I had to wait to post them. I thought they turned out great! Joy Neville took them and she is awesome. Answered Prayer!

We just found out yesterday that Will got into the daycare downtown that is right by my office!!!!!! I can't tell you how excited about this I am! I really didn't think he would get in as the ones downtown have crazy waitlists. There were 2 people infront of us and I kept emailing to get updates and she kept telling me she was waiting to hear back from the other 2. Well, I guess they passed and we got the last spot! We had a back-up plan, of course, which was in a neighborhood near our condo. It would have been o...k...but I wasn't all that excited about it. This place is in walking...(yes literally right behind my building)...distance from my office and I can easily walk over to check on him at lunch. (Or anytime I am having severe anxiety and just need to make sure he's doing alright).

I go back to work the week of Jan. 4th and I have been dreading it. This helps a lot just knowing he'll be so close. I am so thankful and feel like it is all going to be alright. Praise God for this answered prayer!

3 Months

Warning – this post is filled with pics of our 3 month old!  Yesterday (I know, I’m slacking) Will turned 3 months.  Wow.  Really?  How did that happen??  I don’t know, but it did.  He is more fun than ever.  He smiles much more freely now and it is pretty easy to get one.  However, the minute I point a camera (or anyone else for that matter) at him he loses that precious smile. 

He is so incredibly active.  I wish I had a pic but he loves to lock his knees and stand up.  We used to pull him up and he would go to a sitting position.  Now, if we pull him he goes straight to standing.  And he loves it!  He looks so proud of himself. 

Here’s Will in his Christmas outfit from Ally.  Actually the outfit had cute pants that coordinated but our sweet boy is long and lean.  The pants fall of him.  I have him in 0-3’s but they’re getting short.  So if you see pics of him in pants that look too short, it isn’t because we’re poor – he’s too skinny!

Proof that the kid won’t smile on camera.  He was just smiling at me while I was in the floor wrapping presents and just melting my heart.  I pull out the camera and this is as close as I can get.  Silly Will.

Here he is in his sleep sack.  We still swaddle him at night but while he’s napping I put him in this.  

Oh look – he smiles.  He does seem to be excited to see me when I go get him out of his crib.  I love that sweet face!

Took some pics so we can see his size under the clothes.  Still not bulking up.  He does, however, weigh right about 13 lbs.  So he’s definitely gaining and growing.  We did move his nipple up to a larger size in his bottle.  He drinks much faster now and seems to be eating a little more, which makes me happy.  For awhile he was eating pretty light.

He still loves to sit in his bumbo.  The view of the backside of him is hilarious.  He enjoys watching tv.  He looks like a little old man…except that he’s watching the View.  Oops.

Yep, loves to watch tv.  It has great lights!  Maybe I’ll find him something better than the View to watch next time.  :)

Uh oh – Busted!! 

I thought this was so sweet.  We went to visit our friends Matt & Courtney last Friday night.  They have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Savannah, and one on the way.  Savannah was sweet enough to read to Will.  They were so cute!

What else can I say?  This little boy is the best blessing we could have ever asked for.  And he just woke up from a nap -  off to get him!

Christmas Party – Cowboys Style

I am a little behind on posting.  On Sunday we had the privilege of going to Kevin’s work Christmas Party.  Some companies have a party at a nice restaurant or at their lovely house.  Kevin’s company took us to the Cowboy’s Game…in their suite.  Not too shabby!  We had a blast despite the fact that the Cowboys had a disappointing loss.  It was a little hard to get into the game with the excitement of being in the stadium and in a suite.  It was our fist time going to the monstrosity that it is. 

Prior to the game we “tailgated” in style in some tents.  They had a nice buffet where we ate lunch.  Us at the pre-game festivity.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

I actually have several posts I need to catch up on - but I'm doing this one first. Will met Santa! Let me tell you - seeing Santa at North Park is an ordeal! I went there at 11:30 expecting to wait maybe a couple of hours. They gave us a #. We were #188. I looked at the display and it said now serving #34! What?!? The man said to come back at 4:30. So, we did. At that point they were on #144. Well, that's closer. Then at 5pm Santa took a dinner break. Come on now! A break?!? Ugh. So we did a little more shopping and were finally allowed to enter the line at around 6pm. We saw Santa at about 6:45ish. We had a 7pm party to get to so needless to say, we were late.

Will did great, of course, because Santa isn't a creepy old man to him yet. Next year will be different I am sure! He did his typical refuse to smile at the camera thing with the clinched fists, but I think the picture is pretty good. First visit with Santa - check!!

Mr. Social

This week has been a busy week.  It is definitely December!  Monday night Tricia and I went to First Monday at a church in Forney.  On Tuesday I took Will to Ft. Worth and he got to meet Martha, my mom’s cousin.  Then we went to dinner with some friends we hadn’t seen in ages.  We grew up going to church with them.  It was great to catch up.  Last night I had dinner with the girls in my Community Group and Ally came over to see Will.  We have plans tonight, tomorrow night and I am shopping with some girlfriends on Sat.  Yay for fun times with good friends!

Mimi has this fun fishy lamp at her place.  Will loved it!  He stared very intensely at it.  So funny!

Today, some of the girls from my Square One class got together for a little Christmas get together.  The babies even had a gift exchange!  The girls in the class are such sweet ladies and I am so glad they are continuing to get together for a “play group.”  I’ll definitely miss getting together with them.  I won’t be able to go during busy season. I should be able to pick back up after April 15th! 

Ally got Will some Christmas outfits.  He was cute in this one – he looked like one of Santa’s helpers!

Much to Kevin’s disappointment, we are not putting up our Christmas tree this year.  Our place is so small and Will’s “stuff” has overtaken our place.  Tara had a very pretty tree up at her place and we got a pic in front of it.

Inspiration!

On Sunday at our church (Watermark Church) we had the neat experience of hearing Nick Vujicic speak.  Nick is from Australia and was born without arms or legs.  The doctors gave him no medical reason for why he was born this way.  At some point in his life he decided to take what seemed horrible and use it to spread the word of Jesus Christ.  It was inspiring to see someone who seems so disabled do so much more than I could ever imagine doing with my completely “normal” body.  If you ever get a chance to hear him speak – do so!  I think you can also find him on youtube and read more about him on his website.  http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org/index.php

Rockin’ & Rollin’

Look who can roll over!  The other day I put him down for the tummy time he hates so much.  He decided to get out of tummy time his own way!  Here’s what I imagine he was thinking.

Unfortunately for him I put him right back on his tummy.  :)  The funny thing is he rolled over again!  I caught the above pics on the 2nd rollover.  He did it again over and over again with Kevin the other day.  Uncle Dustin and cousin Dylan got to see it.  Dylan showed his rolling skills, too.  We tried to show Aunt Tricia last night and he wasn’t feeling it.  So…he can do it, but only when he really wants to.  Can’t believe you can already do this Will!  You’re growing too fast.  Please slow down a little…please!

Fun times at Dylan’s Party!

Dylan’s birthday party was yesterday.  We had a great time!  Dylan seemed to really enjoy himself and got lots of fun toys!  The party was at the Children’s Museum, which was perfect for 3 year olds!  After the party we went over to their house and watched the sad Cowboy’s game.  Dylan didn’t care – he had tons of fun toys to play with!
