New toy fun

Will got some cool new toys for his birthday so went to a park to try them out. I actually took my real camera - which never happens and got a few cute pics.  Will loves his new scooter!!

 Kendall wasn't sure what to think.  She was following brother around.

 Will also loved his remote controlled car daddy got him.  We have 2 so they both were out driving their cars.  Kendall just kept chasing the cars.

 He was very serious, as usual.

 Who knows what caused this, but it makes me smile.  Toddler life is tough!

Will turns 4!

Well this happened, oh you know like 6 weeks ago!  Sigh.  Anyway, my amazing little guy Will turned 4!!  (Back on 9/17 - oops).  He was so, so excited about his birthday.  He was excited last year but man - things really clicked at 4!  He was really excited about having a party and being 4.  I am so proud of this boy!  He can sure get the best of me and test me like I've never been tested - but there can't possibly be a sweeter kiddo out there.  He has the biggest heart.  He loves his friends and he loves his family.  He's even really sweet with his sister!  He is smart - boy is he smart.  Probably too smart.  But he loves life and really makes our lives so much happier.  I can't even imagine life without him.  4 year olds are really awesome!  You can have conversations with them and really connect on a different level.  You can take him places and talk and just experience things together.  Will - can you stay 4 forever?  

We love birthdays at our house.  We wanted to make his day really special.  We got balloons, donuts, and let him open some gifts that morning before school.

 He was pumped and was so incredibly cute!

 After school, we had invited the family to a little burger place by our house.  All the family came!  Will though this was such a fun "party!"  I asked him what his favorite part of the day was and he said his party.  So sweet.  Such a good reminder that kids just need moments with people - nothing has to be fancy or well planned.  Just being together is what they want.

 Dinners aren't super fun with this one.  Not going to lie.  She's a handful in the evenings!

The Saturday after his birthday we had a party at the Flight Museum!  It was a lot of fun!  He was so excited and so many of his school friends came.  It was a success!

A little early but...

Too cute not to share! Will and I decided Kendall should be Minnie for Halloween. (We "read" the halloween costume catalog over and over).  We saw this yesterday and couldn't resist. This girl has grown! This is an 18 mo dress.  Look at her chubby cheeks!  Her hair is growing too! 

Soccer...sigh...

Soccer.  Oh soccer.  If I thought T-ball was a challenge, I didn't know what was in store.  So looking back - Tball went really well.  He played the game.  He had a couple of epic meltdowns, but he loved playing.  Soccer - is a different story.  He did great at his first couple of practices.  But - at the 2nd practice, someone knocked him down and that is something Will doesn't handle well.  The coach tried to get them to scrimmage and Will doesn't like the thought of someone taking the ball away from him.  Oye.  That's the whole point of soccer.  Houston - we have a problem.  So game 1 - the only time he and his buddy got on the field was during a break - and they were shirtless.  See below.  Once the game started, they were off.  Game 2 - his buddy played like a champ and Will sat quietly on the sidelines and refused to play.  This is a big dilemma for me.  If he doesn't want to play - why would I make him?  It is a game and he is only 4 (well almost, he'll be 4 Tues).  Daddy doesn't want to "quit" and thinks we should stick it out.  But really - so I have to go to every game and watch him not play?  Do I?  If I thought he would eventually warm up to it, I might be more inclined.  But honestly, I don't think he's ready.  It is disappointing and Kevin hates it, but I'm really ok with it.  Remember - he's 4.  So - if you have any wise advise on this situation - I'm all ears.

On the upside, I did catch a couple of cute pics the first game.  Didn't even bother bringing the camera for game 2.  Here is Kevin trying to talk Will into going out there (with no luck).

 Here is where they decided to take off their shirts.  And hey, if that meant they would play, I was kind of ok with this.  But of course it was short lived.  Again - they were cute.

 Oh, how I love this amazing mess.  He really is such an amazing kid.  He does things the hard way, that's for sure.  But he has stolen such a huge part of my heart.  I don't care if he plays soccer!  He's my sweet boy and I'll be proud of him regardless!

On a side note, he had swim lessons after soccer.  He loves swim lessons.  Thinking he could be a future swim team member?  No one takes a ball away and not likely he'll get knocked down.  I'm keeping it on the list of potential future activities!  :)

Miss Priss

 I loved this picture of Kendall.  She is just so much fun these days and of course I think she is beautiful.  This is probably a month old.  I feel like she's put on some serious weight lately and has really grown a lot of hair.  I'll post an updated one, but loved the sweetness of this one.

"Shoes"

This girl is a hoot.  A handful.  Spunky.  Busy.  She's everywhere!  She wears me out.  But she is so stinking fun.  I haven't mentioned yet, but her first official word:  Shoes.  Yes!!  Shoes.  It is so funny.  Kevin is worried. She loves her bubba and wants to do everything he does, of course.  She loves to get in and out of this car.  She's starting to get some hair and some curls in the back!  

 I love pj's.  I love her in pj's.

Yep.  This is about right.  Everywhere!!
