Baby news!

No, no, no. It isn’t my news. :)

But…Kevin’s sister Kellie is pregnant!! On Friday night she pretended to have one more gift for Kevin. She brought out this box. Someone asked if it was a puppy. Nope! Not a puppy. It was baby cupcakes! It was really special to have all her family there together to learn the news! Congratulations Nick & Kellie!! We are so excited about baby Worstell! Can’t wait to learn if we’ll be buying blue or pink! Yay babies! Her due date is 11/25/11. Can’t wait!!

Birthday Celebrations!

Whew! We had a whirlwind weekend! We celebrated and then celebrated some more! Friday night everyone came over to our house and we celebrated Kevin’s birthday. It was a lot of fun. I cooked up some baked ziti and Kevin’s grandmother made us some brownie delight (also known as brownies and ice cream). I also thought it was a good time to capture pictures of everyone. So bear with me!

These two are way too cute not to try and capture. However, the little one is hard to get to stay still! I tried. Monkey see…monkey do! I know Kevin was very excited to have his family in town to join us. Kayse, Kellie, & Nick were here! Kevin and his mom Dustin & Tricia (and baby on the way!) Will picked those out. Fun birthday presents – got some camping gear!

On Saturday, we got to celebrate Allyson’s 50th Birthday! That’s why all the family was in town. Her actual birthday is May 3rd, but everyone took advantage of the long weekend and the chance to celebrate together. They had a fun mexican dinner at their house. We look forward to celebrating again on your actual day, too! Lots of friends celebrating your big day!

So thankful to have so much family able to celebrate together. I know Will had a blast all weekend! He was worn out and spoiled rotten! We are having to de-tox from all the attention. He got a little crazy towards the end of the weekend. We’ll get him back to reality soon!

Happy Birthday Kevin!!

Happy birthday to the most wonderful husband and daddy in the world!

We have had a great day celebrating Kevin. Will and I went up to his work this morning and picked him up for lunch. We had a yummy lunch and a lot of fun. Then Will met daddy at the door with a present saying something that somewhat resembled Happy Birthday! It was about the sweetest thing ever. The birthday part sounded pretty close! Here he is helping daddy open his present.

Nothing sweeter than hugs from this little boy. He sure loves his daddy!

It just so happens that Kevin’s grandparents Mimie & Papa are in town this week. They joined us for a yummy birthday dinner out! So fun to be able to celebrate with them.

Will was a bit of a stinker at dinner, but he was cute once we got outside. He wanted to hold hands with both Mimie & Papa. It was very sweet. He also says Papa really funny. It comes out in a very high pitched tone. Papa!

Kevin – I hope you know how much you mean to us! You are such a special, caring man and I am so proud to be your wife. I know Will absolutely adores you. I hope you felt celebrated today! We love you!

More Easter Fun

Last Saturday, Dylan invited us to an Easter Egg hunt in their neighborhood. We didn’t want to pass up an opportunity to try out our hunting skills so we gladly joined. Here are my two handsome men! Will got bored by the pre-hunt entertainment, so daddy took him on a walk. How cute are they? Miss Cookie was the pre-hunt entertainment. She was entertaining to some of the kids, I guess. I need to get in touch with my inner child, I think.Uncle Dustin also helped with occupying Will. Check out their amazing trick! (Love the look on Dust’s face!).And the hunt begins! It lasted maybe 2 min tops. We had a great spot…on the end…not many kids. If Will had been really into it, he would have scored a bunch of eggs. Like the day before, he just wanted to see what was in one of those things.

For some reason, Will gets a huge kick out of dumping his eggs onto the ground. He does it at home, too. We took all the candy out of the eggs and let him play with him and at home he immediately dumps them out. (Notice Tricia and her baby belly – so cute!).

School Easter Egg Hunt

Friday, Kevin and I went up to Will’s school to watch him have his very first Easter Egg Hunt! Somehow we were the only parents in Will’s class to go – guess we were more excited than the other parents. I thought it was a big deal! (Other parents went, just none from Will’s class). Here he is pretty excited about heading out. I don’t think he knew what we were doing, but he knew we were doing something exciting and that mommy and daddy were there to watch.Unfortunately it had rained the night before, so they had to hunt eggs in the hall. Not too much of a challenge, but I don’t think the kids cared at all. Will got off to a good start. He was way more interested in finding out what was actually in the eggs. How in the world was he supposed to be enticed to pick up more eggs when he opens one and finds a ball in it?!? Overall I would say his first hunt was a success! He seems like he is proud and telling daddy all about it. We really got to see him perk up when Ms. Olga pulled out the bag of balls! Our child was the only one that seemed that excited but he was right there ready to scoop one up. We also saw him push this little wheeled thing around. I’ve heard about his skills with thing. It was funny to see him in person. Apparently he does this every day on the playground. He is a maniac. He almost ran me over pushing this thing around. His teachers frequently comment on how “busy” our son is. Busy, indeed! We hung around for a little bit because we never get to visit during the day to see what sort of fun things they do. They all sat down and the teacher was singing songs. He’s so cute sitting at the table in that little chair! One of his apparently favorite things to do at school – wash his hands! He washed them twice while we were there. Glad he’s so concerned with cleanliness!Not the best picture, but I wanted to get one with Ms. Olga. She is an amazing lady and is so sweet with our Will. She is so patient and gentle. We love this woman! She’s great with him. We also love his other teacher, Ms. Marisha – but she was out on Friday. I’ll have to get her picture another day.

Fun times at Will’s school! He learns so much there. It is fun seeing him in his school environment. He has really thrived in his big boy class. Thankful for his wonderful teachers!
