Kendall’s Dedication

On Sunday, January 20th, we had Kendall’s dedication at our church. It was such a special, special day and I was thrilled that the church took some pictures of the service.  It is very sweet how our pastor does the dedication.  He took Kendall and walked her down one aisle and up the other aisle of the church.  All the way he was talking to her and to the church about the preciousness of Kendall’s life and the responsibility we have to raise her up in the Lord. I can’t believe that we are so lucky to be this girl’s parents.  We know we are blessed and we know it is a huge responsibility.  We made a promise to teach her about Jesus and to raise her in the church. I love the way Kendall is looking at pastor George and has her arms flying in the air. She did this the whole time.

We were beyond grateful to have our family stand up there with us for this special day. We greatly value the love and support of our wonderful families.

After the service we had everyone over for lunch.  Here is her cute cake! I mentioned before I was attempting some craftiness.  The centerpieces is what I ended up with.  I should have taken closer pictures.  They turned out pretty cute, I must say! It ended up being a gorgeous day! A HUGE thanks to Dustin for smoking the most amazing brisket.  Seriously, this guy  can smoke some meat.  So, so tasty!  Thank you brother!! Thanks again to our family for being there. It meant so much to us!

Lagging

It is no secret that my blogging has slowed since Kendall was born.  But it looks a little funny that I did blog part of Christmas.  There was more!  I just haven't had the time/energy/desire to get it updated.  It will happen...someday.  This week I am trying to do a few crafty things to decorate for lunch at our house on Sun.  We are having Kendall's dedication at church (lunch after) and my mom bought me a paper cutting machine for Christmas.  I feel like I should do something crafty.  I'm not good at crafty, but I want to be.  Needless to say, I am learning.  I don't know that I'll actually have anything presentable to use, but we'll see.  Work and kids really get in the way of crafty.  :)  I am not giving up the kids, so maybe the work?  Ha.  No.  I will just have to learn to plan ahead if I want to do crafty.  On a side note, I am also way behind on my tv watching.  What is going on in my world?  And now this concludes the most random blog post...ever.

Christmas at G.J.’s

Our last stop for Christmas was at G.J.’s and Neille’s house. We had a great time having dinner together and opening some gifts.  I’m not sure the kids got enough presents – poor kids.  Yeah, right!  We were all spoiled and enjoyed the holiday very much. Thanks to everyone for hosting us!

Christmas Snow!

I can’t talk about Christmas without posting the pics of the snow we got!  It didn’t stay long, but when it first started coming down, it was some serious snow!  After we left Ally’s we came home to get some rest.  However, we had to check out the snow first.  It was pretty cool to actually have a white Christmas! And yes, that is a big stump in our yard.  The stump is now gone.  Clearly – there was a large tree there that is gone.  Sad.  Never thought owning a home would mean spending money on taking down a tree.  Big bummer.

Christmas at Ally’s

After we got through the Santa presents and got dressed, we headed over to Ally’s to have Christmas with them.  Somehow we didn’t get good family pics.  We have a ton of Will and Jack opening gifts.  They were cute and fun to watch.  Maybe next year Kendall will get in on the opening action.  Here are some pictures of our time at Ally’s.

Christmas Morning

I know – Christmas was a full month ago, but I am just now getting around to finishing up the Christmas blogs. Christmas morning was even more fun this year as we added sweet Kendall to the mix.  I got coordinating stockings for our family as I think it is complete.  :)  We set out some cookies and milk for Santa before bed. Will finally got in the Santa mood right before Christmas.  All month he had wanted no part of the process, but once it came around he seemed ok with it.  Santa left some goodies for both kiddos. Funny – the first thing Will did was see if Santa ate the cookies and drank the milk.  Um…presents are right there sweet boy!

Santa got him a kid version of what he calls his “ipad.”  He liked it.

Really all he wanted was a spider man.  An awesome uncle had already gotten him a big one, so Santa got him a few smaller ones.

I still haven’t figured out how to use my camera properly. One day hopefully I can figure out how to take an in front of the tree pic.

Who needs Christmas presents when you get to wake up Christmas morning to these sweet faces?!? Thankful.  Very thankful.
