Caught Up

Well I am finally caught up on all my blogging. I don’t know why I got so far behind. I didn’t feel well and then I had a good bit of things to do around the house to prepare for my return to work on Monday. I think I’ve gotten most everything pretty well organized around here. Plus, I just wanted to concentrate on enjoying every moment with Will. The big return to work is looming. I think I can do it. As I mentioned before I feel a lot better about it knowing he’ll be so close to my office. I do meet with a higher up partner Monday afternoon to try to get my reduced work schedule approved. My immediate partner has approved it so I am praying that he will, too. I figure Monday is going to be a rough day all the way around so I might as well meet with this particular partner and try and get that worked out. I am only going to work a few hours on Monday as I am sure it is going to be hard to concentrate anyway. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Oh these cheeks! I love them so! I am definitely going to have to go sneak kisses when I can next week. It is going to be so hard not to be able to get those kisses anytime I want. He is always so proud of himself when he does it. He loves his daddy. Aren’t they cute? No one can get Will talking like daddy. Will carries on the longest conversations with him. He thinks daddy is pretty funny! My sweet boys!I took these pics today. Will has really started changing this last week. I really think he’s filling out a lot more. Look at those cheeks!! His legs are also getting some meat on them, finally! What a good looking kid if I do say so myself. We combed his hair today. It is starting to come in a little more. Sweet baldy. :) That smile is the best. Harder than it should be to capture – he generally looks so serious in pictures. Occasionally I’ll get a cute grin. Look how well he is sitting. He sat there for a long time all by himself.

Christmas Festivities

We had a great time celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus with our families. We are fortunate to live close to both of our families and didn’t have to travel over the holidays. We spent Christmas Eve at Kevin’s mom’s and Christmas day over at Dustin & Tricia’s new house.

We tried to get a family picture and struggled. About 3 seconds after this Will melted down.Ally got Will a stocking. It is still so fun to see his name on stuff. He wasn’t sure what to think about all the Christmas fun. How cute is this little guy?

On Christmas morning, Santa left a few treats for Will in his stocking. (Some were recycled from the stocking Ally gave him). Santa brought some fun books that sing songs. It is so much fun to have this precious little boy. He is the best gift in the world. I can only imagine how fun it will be in years to come as we watch the excitement of the holidays through him. Last Christmas we were just praying for a child. This Christmas we have this amazing gift. We love you so much Will Ryan!!

We headed over to Dustin & Tricia’s on Christmas Day. Tricia got the boys matching pj’s. Cute, right? An attempt at getting a picture of them together – not so easy. Dylan wasn’t feeling it. So, here’s what we got. Dylan got so many fun things from Santa – who wants to pose for a pic? This little cutie is a captive audience for pictures for now. From my pics you really can’t even tell that Mimi and Kevin were at Christmas. For the record, they were. So was mom’s brother, Charles. I had an awful sinus thing that I seem to get every Christmas. I went to Prima Care the Monday after Christmas just like I did last year. Ugh. Next year, I’ve got to try to avoid that. You can see Lindsey, Uncle J, Tricia and Dylan here. Ah yes, me with a kleenex. All day that’s what I did and ended up with a lovely red nose. Just like Rudolph! We had such a great time hanging out at the McCoy’s house. We played lots of games and I am now in a Chicken foot mood. I love that game. Sooo much easier than dominoes! No brain work!! Here is a fun gift Dylan got from Mimi. He is showing it off to Uncle J. Tricia has found him napping in everyday since he got it. So cute.

I always feel so blessed after spending time with our families. We are so fortunate to both have families that love us and are so fun to spend time with. What a great Christmas 2009!

Tooker Holiday Fun

Kevin’s sister and brother-in-law were in town for a week over Christmas.  We don’t see them very often since they live in Nashville, TN, so we made a point to get some good time in with them.  It was actually Uncle Nick’s first time to meet Will.  We decided to get out of the house and do some fun stuff while they were here.  Here are all of the adventures that we went on.

I don’t have any pictures but on Sunday we had lunch with Kevin’s dad, Daneille, and Uncle Ben, Aunt Wanda, and cousin Zach at Buca di Beppo – yummy.  Then Sunday afternoon, Kevin’s mom took me, Kellie, & Kayse to the see the Rocketts Christmas Spectacular!  It was fantastic!  I can’t imagine being able to high kick like they do.  I’m just not at all coordinated! 

On Monday, the group decided to take a tour of the Cowboys Stadium.  It was excellent and we learned all sorts of fun things about the stadium and Jerry.  We also got to use the Baby Bjorn for the first time!  Will loved it.  He got to hang with me and see everything.

Seeing that huge screen never gets old.  Unfortunately the field wasn’t out because they had a basketball game there.  We didn’t get to walk out there, but it was still cool. Once again, Will tires from all the fun.  He slept really well in the carrier.

You can see the cables hanging down from the screen and a bucket at the bottom.  That’s how people go up into the screen.  Crazy that people hang out up in there.

They are hosting the Cotton Bowl at the stadium and always have a Big 12 team.  They have a cool room with the Cotton Bowl offices.  Oh poor Texas Tech.  They were at the Cotton Bowl last year (not good, not good).  This year I am really scared to see what happens at the Alamo Bowl after they fired our crazy coach.  Ugh.  I’ll stop before I get all upset again.

After the tour, we decided to head to Cowtown (Ft. Worth) to the stock yards for lunch.  We had a lovely lunch and enjoyed walking around.  I hadn’t been there in years.  

My mom works in Ft. Worth, so she met us over there, too. We tried a cowboy hat on Will.  It was just a little too small!!  Ha!  I love this picture.  Kevin does not.  I just think it is hilarious with the look on his face like…mom…seriously?

We stayed to see the cattle drive.  A must for the stockyards!

On Tuesday evening we headed back to the AAC for Will’s first Mavs game!   Here he is hanging with Kayse and Ally and just checking everything out.There’s so much to see!  Here is his new favorite thing – eating his hands.  They are ALWAYS in his mouth.  Always.

First Game

On December 19th, Will experienced his very first professional sporting event – a Stars Game! Kevin had the suite at the AAC and we took our Community Group for a fun afternoon. The game was really good as there were a lot of goals scored and the Stars ended up on top of the Red Wings. Not bad for Will’s first event!

All the excitement wore him out! He really did enjoy looking at everything. There is so much to catch his attention. He did fall asleep and every time someone scored and the crowed roared he would spaz a little. It was cute. Here he is worn out from the fun.
