Mavs Game

I recently scored some Mavs tickets to the last game of the year. We were able to take Will with us.  It was a lot of fun.  The seats were great and Will loved it.  He wanted to make sure he knew were Dirk and the horsie (mascot) were at all times! He talked us into a foam finger.  :)  Oh, why not??

Easter Sunday

We went to church on Easter Sunday with my mom and Kevin’s family. It was extra fun this year to get to buy an Easter dress for Miss Kendall!  There are just too many cute dresses out there!  I even got Will to wear this cute jacket.  I was hoping to get some studio pics of the 2 of them but someone (Will) wouldn’t cooperate.  At least he cooperated before church! This pic makes my heart happy.  I know how blessed I am to have these two cuties in my life.  After church, we kept it easy and went out to eat at Gloria’s.  Yum.  Ally with the grandkids. Mimi with her grandkids.  Will was confused as to why Jack wasn’t in the pic.  Ha.  :) He is risen indeed!  It is a great time to think about the sacrifice made for each one of us.  I know I could sacrifice myself for my kids, but my kids for a fallen world?  Wow.

After lunch, Jeff and Daneille had everyone over for an egg hunt.  Kendall and I had to stay home and miss out.  That sweet girl needed herself a nap.  Kevin did a good job of getting some pics for us.  Kayse helping Will find some eggs. Easter Egg Hunt 2013

I’m only a month behind here! We went to a really fun egg hunt this year.  They had it at a huge field in LH and there were tons of people there!  They had bounce houses and even a petting zoo.  They also had food trucks, which are all the rage these days.  Will was overwhelmed at first.  This sweet boy takes a bit to warm up to situations.  Luckily, daddy is pretty good as easing him in.  Here you can see he is way out of his comfort zone.

Will was starting to fee a little more comfortable about the situation.  The McCoy’s were there and Miles was not overwhelmed at all.  That boy has no fear! Ok – so we have seen the helicopter that drops the eggs and now Will is a little more into this thing! Yep – a helicopter dropped insane amounts of eggs for the kids to hunt.  It was really cool.  Will was still overwhelmed and not totally sure of the situation.  Uncle Dustin told him to go get at least 3 eggs and he would give him a surprise.  So – Will went out there and got himself 3 eggs and ran back.  He was out for awhile because a lot of the eggs had opened on the way down.  He found 3 still intact eggs.  Love that kid! Oh how I love this sweet face!  She is happy everywhere she goes! Miles was adorable.  Keep saying bye to the helicopter!  :)

We survived another one!

Another tax season, that is. This one was tough. I am glad it is over! I have a lot of blogging to catch up on, of course. I thought I would post a few pics from today and do a little Kendall update. I am back to working 3 days a week now so I was off today. Will went to school and Kendall stayed home with me. Kendall has changed so much! Within the last 3 weeks she has become a very proficient crawler! I am not sure that I was ready for that. She is a girl on the move. She is also pulling up on things and she is clapping! She claps all the time. It is really cute. She has no fear. She has already fallen down the step from our kitchen into the sunken living room. Will never once did that as he was too scared to even try. She's going to wear us out! She often crawls up to your feet and rubs her head on your leg, a little like a cat. It is her way of saying, Pick me up, please! She is a hoot. We went to her 9 month check-up last week. I will post her stats. She's doing great!

Will is also doing well. Kendall and I went and picked him up early today and chatted with his teacher. She said he had been "super duper good" today and got to choose which center he wanted to play in. I was so thrilled to hear this. She said he's been doing really well. I shouldn't jinx myself but it seems like we may be through the worst of his tantrum phase. I could be wrong but they are very rare these days. Thank goodness as a year ago I was really struggling with how best to handle him. He was having a hard time at school, too. My what a difference a year makes.

Here are some pics from today. Kendall is all over the place. She pulled herself up to the coffee table and pushed the clothes i had folded into the floor. She thought it was really funny! We stopped by the park after school today and let Will run free!

Like I was (still am) with Will, I love watching Kendall sleep! I found her like this yesterday during her nap. Sweet baby bootie in the air!

8 months

This beautiful girl is 8 months today! What a joy she is!

Sunday Funday

Well, not quite.  But Sunday was a beautiful day and we went outside.  It was a little sad that we had to beg Will to go out.  He wanted to stay in.  What?!?  I have spring fever and I need to get out when it is nice!  So we went out.  Kevin decided to start spreading the mulch left from our sad, departed tree. Will immediately want to help with his own shovel.  It was really cute.  I absolutely love how much Will looks up to his daddy.  He loved being his helper and felt like such a big boy. I hope I always remember these sweet moments.

 Kendall enjoyed sitting outside, too.  She is sitting so well these days.  She still topples over at times but for the most part she sits great. It is such a nice thing to be able to take her to the grocery store and sit her in the cart. My cart cover has harness straps, so she doesn't fall. No more lugging that heavy carrier! 

 Her hair is starting to fill in a bit.  There is still the one crazy long piece at the back of her head.  I like to put headbands with bows on her, but they don't stay long.  So, I generally give up and forego the bow.

 Kendall really, really wants to crawl.  She can't figure it out, though.  The girl gets all over the room by rolling but crawling hasn't clicked.  She is so active.  So active.  I swear they emphasize this almost daily when we pick her up from school.  She wants to go.  Badly. I don't remember Will being as active.  Anyway, she can get on her hands and knees and will rock.  She also gets on her knees and puts her head on the ground like she's trying to push off with her head?  I don't know. Hard to explain, but she frequently has a red mark on her head!  I didn't quite capture it, but you can see is trying something!
