The House

Whew – so much has happened since I last blogged! Where to start?!? Well, since the house is such a big deal – I’ll start there. I’ll do a house update and then hopefully soon I’ll do a Will update. This past Friday we got moved into the new house! yay! It finally happened. We were clearly a little too ambitious to think we could move 2 days after the end of tax season. It didn’t happen. Plus, we needed to get some painting and other minor projects done before we moved in. So, Friday – we moved.

Here is a picture of our family on closing day – April 9th! It was our’s! What an exciting day! We feel so incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful home for Will. It means the world to us to have some space and such a great place in a great school zone for him to grow up. We hope you love growing up here, Will!Dylan brought Will a house warming present. It was the sweetest thing I have ever seen. Dylan was so proud to bring this for Will. I know Will is going to love his new swing! We can’t wait to get it on the tree! Here’s the grill master at work in his yard for the first time!J made Kevin a very cool birthday gift – washer boards! How fun is this? His talented girlfriend painted them.

Here is Tricia putting our new table together while her husband watches. :) Dylan helping Took out with his candles! This week I start my 3 day work weeks and was off today – I love it already! I had such a good time with Will today. We are looking forward to getting the house somewhat settled and just enjoying being here. It will be a work in progress for years, I am sure. Home sweet home!

Will made daddy a card (with just a little help) and wanted to show it off! Mommy is so happy that Will has such a wonderful daddy! I know these two are going to have so much fun over the years and make so many memories! Thank you Kevin for being such an amazing father and husband! Can’t wait to come take you to lunch today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Happy April 15th!

I thought this day would never come! We made it! Off tomorrow to spend the day with the cutest little boy in the world! I can't wait! Updates and pics to come!

The Loop

Well, things are a bit hectic right now. In case you weren't aware - April 15th is just around the corner. You better get your taxes done! Since that is my job...doing taxes...for companies - things are busy - even in my part-time world. But, it could be worse so trust me, I'm not complaining!

I just want to let you know about 2 exciting things that happened over the weekend so you'll be in the loop even if I don't have cute pictures to share.

1. Will Ryan is cutting teeth...finally! Notice I said teeth. On Friday we noticed the first one. What? There's a tooth? How did he not tell us? No fussing - nothing. But there was definitely a tooth. It is hard to see with his little tongue in the way but run your finger on his gums and it is definitely cut and on it's way up. Then yesterday - another one! Ha. Again, no fussing. So now the little cutie has his 2 bottom teeth making their way in. Very exciting.

2. We have a contract on our condo! The timing is just amazing and absolutely a God thing (as my mom put it). We close on our new house on Friday, so to have the peace of mind that we will not have 2 mortgages is amazing. And, to know we can move out at our own pace and not have to do a marathon move in one day to get the place back in showing condition is glorious. Glorious! We hope to move into the new place on the 17th. Clearly, I'll be a little busy until the 15th - so that gives us the 16th to throw everything in boxes. We are so ready!

Professional Pics - 6 months

We had Will's 6 month pictures taken recently. They turned out great! He is just so cute, so how could they not? I am so pleased and can't rave enough about our photographer. She rocks! Here are just a few of my favs...enjoy!

Poop Happens

Don’t worry – none of these pictures involve poop. But I feel like I have been cleaning up an awful lot of poop lately! I had heard before (and can now confirm it is true) that antibiotics make babies have runny poop. That it does! We are at a week of the medicine and it apparently kicked into high gear. We have had several explosive blowouts (thank goodness none have been in public!) and may have ruined a pair of pjs. But…it gets better. I experienced my first Code Brown today. I learned this term from my nephew’s experiences. Poop…in the tub. Awesome! I was having the best time giving Will a bath tonight. He was playing and just really enjoying himself. And then…the water suddenly took on a strange color. EEEEEWWWW! The joys of motherhood! :)

We did have a fairly good weekend. I say fairly good because Friday night I woke up with excruciating ear pain. Of course only to confirm that I also have a bad ear infection. As my mom said, most people out grow those. Well, I am clearly not most people. It was so painful. I am also on antibiotics and have made an appt with an ENT. I am really worried about my hearing and the long-term effects of having fluid in my ears so often. I ran a fever and I wasn’t feeling all that well and really just wanted to rest.

On Sat we did head over to the McCoy’s place. I napped while everyone else enjoyed a fun Easter Egg Hunt! Dylan dominated (as Dustin put it) the hunt. Here are some pics of what I missed.

I am told Kevin only knocked down about 3 or 4 kids to get that egg. You gotta do what you gotta do, right? Dylan with his colorful eggs.Will is showing off his cool first egg. And showing off that precious smile that melts my heart.More practice sitting. Notice he often only has one sock on. That’s because he loooooves to pull one off and usually eat it. Can’t imagine it tastes all that great, but he seems to think so! His first time wearing a hat. How cute is he? Doesn’t he look so different in a hat? I think he really looks like daddy here. Sweet little boy today prior to the Code Brown incident. Don’t judge. I thought this hair-do was only fitting after I cleaned up his poop out of the tub! This face says it all! What’s the big deal mom?!?

Little cutie pie. Don’t worry Will – I’ll clean you up anytime! And, no, I am not naive enough to think that is my last time. It was just a little shocking as it was my first!I was feeling much better this evening and definitely have spring fever! I am so, so, so ready to work 3 days/week! I can’t wait to spend some days with sweet Will. I am growing more and more attached to him everyday. That is strange to say because it isn’t like I wasn’t attached. Hard to explain. He is just so much fun these days! I can’t get enough of him and miss him so much during the days! This great weather makes me ready for some days outside at our new house! I can’t wait!
