1st Rangers Game

This past Friday night, we took Will to his first Rangers game!  He loves sports just like his daddy and daddy has always dreamed of taking his son to a game.  So – we thought we’d give it a shot before it got any hotter and I got any bigger!  Will was crazy excited!  We talked about it for a week and when Friday came – he was pumped!  We got him a new shirt and a new hat for the big game! We got there early to walk around and see the improvements to the park and eat our hotdogs, of course.  He was loving it!

It was hot out in the sun, but luckily in our seats we had shade and a breeze, so it wasn’t bad for this preggo.  Man – I am pregnant, for sure! Will did really well for his first game – and especially being 2 1/2.  We weren’t sure what to expect.  He was a little ancy at first.  I think the fact that the Rangers were not on their A game and weren’t playing well didn’t help.  But he settled in and stayed put for quite awhile.  We even got to see 2 home runs – so yay fireworks!  He loved that!  And he loved that they sang Take me out to the Ballgame.  That is one of his personal favorites!  We must sing it every night before bed, so he got a big kick out of that.

This kid NEVER falls asleep in the car.  But he was worn out!  It was a very successful first game!  I see lots more of these in his and daddy’s futures!!

I can’t believe I almost forgot!  I had to go back and add this!  Will and Kevin made the news with Dale Hanson that night!  It was really quick (like 2 seconds) but they were on tv!  This camera guy stopped them and thought Will was cute.  He asked if Dale could ask them a question.  Kevin looked like he didn’t want to do it, but I was like yes!  Dale did a little bit that related to a recent news story where a couple caught a ball from the stands and a kid was crying near them.  The couple didn’t give the kid the ball (didn’t know he was crying) and it made news.  So Dale asks Kevin is he wants a ball for his son and starts to hand it to him.  Kevin says sure – and then Dale goes, no, sorry – you can’t have it and walks off!  Ha!  That was it!  But it was memorable for Will’s first Rangers game experience!  They are famous!  (In a mommy’s eyes anyway!).

Swim Class

Will started swim classes!  We’ve been saying we need to do it forever and we finally got him signed up.  He goes every Saturday morning (we’ve been twice so far).  We weren’t sure how he would do but his good friend from school Jack is also in the class – so he has done so well!  He is so brave!  He is the first to volunteer to do whatever they are doing.  We are so proud!  It is a slow process as they are just getting more comfortable with the water and learning to put their faces in, etc.  But I am so glad we are doing it.  I know it is so important that he learns.  Here are a few pics.  He’s the skinny guy on the right below:

It is fun to see him in a class and see him be so brave!  Hopefully he’ll continue to like it and be learning to float soon! 

Happy Birthday Kevin!

This past Saturday was Kevin’s birthday so of course we celebrated!  We are so incredibly thankful to have him as a husband/father in our family.  He is simply amazing!  I really see how easy I have it when I’m pregnant, he really helps me out a ton.  He even got up in the middle of the night to get a slug I found in the kitchen for me!  Gross – what is up with the slug?  Who knows, but he didn’t even complain.  We so love you so much Kevin and are so thankful you are in our lives!  We hope you had a good birthday and felt loved!

Sweet Miles is growing up WAY too fast.  We had our families over and grilled out on Saturday night and Miles continued to wow us with his walking skills.  He doesn’t turn one until June 29th!  Slow down kiddo! I didn’t get many pics of the evening.  Just a few.  Will sure loves his daddy and was thrilled to be celebrating daddy’s birthday.  This seemed to be the first birthday where he was genuinely excited that it was someone’s birthday (without thinking it was his own).  He was an excellent helper with daddy’s cards. Being that Kevin can be hard to buy for at times, everyone went in with me one one awesome gift for him.  I think he liked it!  The funny part was the “fake” gifts he opened.  I found a few random gift cards in my wallet – to places he could care less about and he opened those and was so funny about it!  Oh, thank you he said without missing a beat!  Funny guy! These 2 little boys are going to be great friends.  Will is currently obsessed with Miles – whom he actually refers to as “Chunky” and thinks it is so hilarious! Will had been sooo excited about the birthday cake!  He has a serious sweet tooth! Love the looks on Jeff & Kevin’s faces – there was a bit of a spray with his candle blowing!  Ha!  Yummy!

Easter Sunday

On Sunday, we went to church and celebrated what the true meaning of Easter is – our risen Lord!  What a sacrifice and a blessing for us all!  We put Will in a cute outfit that his Ally had bought him and he looked pretty handsome.  I have to say, I am thrilled that he will let us take pics of him right now! Will and his daddy!  What handsome men I have in my life!! Will and mommy.  Mommy isn’t overly thrilled with posting this, but my son is just precious so I’m choosing to post the chubby preggo faced pic anyway! Why not do one more hunt?  Ally brought some eggs over that had coins in them and we let him hunt one more time.  Hey – hunting eggs is just fun!  I loved watching him! Hope you all had a happy Easter, too!!

Hunt #2

On Saturday, we went to one of the local churches and did a hunt there, too.  They had other activities which ended up being a lot of fun.  We went with Will’s good friend Bryce.  They had a cookie decorating station.  Will took this very seriously!

Even better than decorating the cookie – eating the cookie!  Or more likely icing.  He ate the icing first! 

I had to post all 4 of these pics.  These two are a hoot!  Trying to take a smiling pic of both was hilarious!

This is sweet now.  I am sure one day they’ll look back and be embarrassed by holding hands.  Sweet friends!

I didn’t get many of the actual hunt.  By the time I got to a good spot- it was over!  But Will managed to scoop up some good ones!

I love this pic!  He can be so adorable and so cute.  Makes the tough times bearable!  Love my little man! They also had a petting zoo – so fun! So I am pretty sure the pic below is right after he picked up one of the baby chicks and then quickly dropped it.  The other kids were picking them so I think he though ok – then it felt weird, I guess! Actually I think this may be my favorite pic!  Such an amazing little boy!  Pure joy!!

Egg Hunt #1

Will had an Easter Egg hunt at his school this past Thursday.  I was a little worried because when I got there, he was cranky.  But when it was time to hunt, he was all about it.  Thank goodness.  Here are the kids all lined up ready to go! He was a pro.  Daddy had practiced with him the night before in the living room and he didn’t have any trouble hunting those eggs.  He went kind of the opposite direction of the rest of the group which was very strategic on his part.  Daddy would have been proud! He was very proud of his loot!  Easter fun!!

Belly Pic

So I have been terrible at journaling about this pregnancy.  I’ve been terrible about journaling about anything these days!  Chalk it up to being back to work full-time right now and tired all.the.time.  Hopefully my blogging will pick up after Tues…the end of busy season is near!  Here is a belly pic I took several weeks back.  So yes, I am bigger than this now!  This was at 24 weeks.  I am 27 weeks now.  Crazy!  Next week I’ll hit the third trimester.  I feel like I am carrying Kendall differently than Will.  Oh yes, not sure if I blogged that either.  Our baby girl has a name!  Kendall Elizabeth!  I love it.  KET!  Can’t wait to meet her!  She is a busy girl these days.  She’s moving all over the place and she’s causing some lower back pain.  I got her bedding in, I’ll have to post on the nursery once we get some stuff on the walls.  She’ll be here before we know it!  This one has gone much faster than the first one!  Exactly 3 months to go!
